For many people, relationships with others are a vital part of life. They can bring immense joy but also significant distress, and they can either support or hinder our well-being and mental health. Maintaining effective relationships is challenging for various reasons. Our relationship therapy program is designed to help people who are experiencing relationship distress, including—but not limited to—the following issues:
◦ Frequent or intense conflict
◦ Mental health diagnoses such as Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
◦ Infidelity and betrayals
◦ Differences in values and goals
◦ Relationship histories that make it difficult to trust or feel safe
We work in a variety of ways to help clients explore aspects of their relationship that are functioning well and identify areas they would like to improve. We believe that some of the most significant changes in people’s lives occur when we not only work with individuals but also with the important people in their lives.
Our team has received extensive training and developed specialized expertise in the following areas:
◦ Relationships in which one or more partners struggle with intense emotions or have been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder
◦ Relationships in which one or more partners have experienced trauma or have been diagnosed with PTSD
◦ High-conflict relationships, where frequent and intense conflicts lead one or more partners to behave in ways that create significant distress or negative consequences in the relationship
We welcome clients of all genders and sexual orientations. We are affirming of all relationship models and constellations, and we practice from an anti-oppressive, kink-positive, and sex-positive perspective.
All of our therapists are registered mental health providers with additional experience and training in working with couples. We have sought extensive training in evidence-based treatment approaches and expert consultation from treatment developers to ensure the best care possible.
Therapy sessions typically last 50 or 80 minutes. You will discuss your preferred session length with your therapist.
We usually begin with a joint session with all partners to understand your goals and get to know each other. Afterward, we generally meet individually with each partner to learn more about you as individuals before working together toward your shared goals.
$250-280/session
